Weddings, new couples, new members all over the place. *whew*

~ Once again, I'm really sorry for missing this past Sunday's guild meeting guys. Who would have thought I'd be stuck in the ER for 9 hours. *rolls eyes* At any rate we'll catch up tonight and I'll run my mouth for a bit.

~ A big, fat congratulations to Odynae and Leonu on their oh-so-secret nuptials. And their arrest! (Seriously, did you think I could mention those two and not bring up that debacle? Not likely! )

~ Welcome to all our new members, alts and otherwise. I hear tell we had 22 members logged on the other night. That's a record for the entire year I've been a member of Shadow of the Moon. Perhaps we should look into expanding the hall?

~ We may see even more members! Please read Artica's post under Tenacity's shared forums at the bottom of the SoTM forum page for more information. I'll also be explaining at the meeting tonight.

So, who else thought last nights Frost Wrym invasion was exciting? Aleriel certainly did (as did her player). It was my first world event attendance. I'll be posting some screenies to the album. Check 'em out! Now, on with the news

~ WoTLK - 2 days and counting. In light of this months expansion and everyones '80 or Bust!' mentality, we'll be postponing any large official RP gathering till December. Things in the works: A play! and Aleriel's speed dating event with a bit of a Christmas party feel.

~ Raids! That's right, raids! Two things make me bring this up. Firstly we've been getting a  ton of new members, some max level. And a lot of our older members are getting up there in level. There's no reason why we can't toss together some Moonie only 10-mans. I've been discussing the idea of ramping up our attempts to have some core raiders with Leo and Khanz (and Atli, everyone harass him till he rejoins SoTM) and it seems very possible. More information to come at our guild meeting.

~ My second reason to mention raids is our new friends, Chronicles. Ciarnat and her brood of snarky, sarcastic, and all around fun crew have server hopped on over to SoE and we welcome them. WELCOME! (that was me welcoming) Anyway..they've expressed an interest in hooking up with SoTM for some 10-mans and 25-mans. (Hence last nights Arcatraz, Shadow Labs, and Magtheridon runs) Check out theirs site: http://www.rp-chronicles.com for their public raid calendar and public forums. And see Ciarnat's post under our Instance Runs forum.

~ Guild meeting this Sunday! And we should have record attendance. I've sent the invite via guild calendar. This is an important one guys. We have a LOT to cover. Please be in attendance if at all possible. Expect a longer meeting as well,  we will be introducing our round robin RP update and make sure to get your suggestions in for RP'er of the Month and Guild Member of the Month.

~ Shadow of the Sun: A massively gigantic HUGE THANKYOU to Martise(Telquessa horde side) for heading up that endeavor. He's really put his all into in and we're very grateful.  New forums have been created for that guild and I've put the link under the Shadow of the Sun thread. Look for those forums to be up and running by the end of the week. And if we have any creative folks out there (looks at Aurae and Leo ) we would LOVE a banner created for the forums.

As always, thank you guys for being the best group of people I've ever had the pleasure of gaming with. I truly count myself lucky. *sappy hugs all around*

Just a few updates on things covered in the meetings.

~ Ambrose had suggested that we mark some forums public so people considering joining our guild would be able to read our writing. There was some concern among the officers that unless we could make the posts read only we wouldn't do it because we didn't want non-members able to make posts on our site. Since Guild Portal does not have that sort of option we've decided not to move forward with that change. All forum topics aside from the application thread will remain members only.

~ This month we will be using a new method of choosing our award recipients. We would like to take suggestions from everyone in the guild for RP'er of the Month and Guild Member of the Month. If there is someone you feel is deserving of either of these awards, please send Aleriel a mail on the forums or in game. The officers feel it would be nice to have input from our guild members and it would help us decide on months that we may be stumped with who to offer it to. We may not get to interact with everyone as often as some of you guys and your input is very valuable. The Guild Member of Honor award will still be passed from member to member every month. Please reach out to an officer if you have any questions or concerns.

~ I want to thank all of our new members for being just plain ol' amazing. I'm proud to call myself a Moonie and it's all because of you guys.

So, Sol kindly pointed out that I haven't put a news update up in a while. There's not been a ton going on but here are a few things.

~ This Friday, the 17th, Avmella will be hosting a poetry recital. Even if you havent written anything it might be nice to attend.

~ On the 25th, Ithildin Dae will be hosting a costume contest. You should have invites on your calendars, and I'll add the details to our events thread.

~ There are plenty of stories still cooking on the forums. Thank you all for contributing.

Our next meeting will be held next Sunday, the 26th. Look to the forum calendar and in-game calendar for details.

And just a note from me. I'm sorry I've seemed a bit preoccupied lately. The job hunt hasn't been very successful. But I'll try to step it up a bit.
